DIBA with Nemesi at Valentino’s recently inaugurated cultural centre PM23 in Rome

On Wednesday 4 March, many DIBA members participated in a guided visit to PM23, the cultural centre designed by the architectural firm Nemesi for Fondazione Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti in Piazza Mignanelli close to the Spanish Stairs in Rome.

Members enjoyed the exhibition Venus, featuring art works by renowned Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos inspired by the Roman goddess of love and beauty and dialoguing with Valentina’s fashion heritage. The guided tour was highly appreciated for its clear and engaging explanations.

Susanna Tradati, Partner of Nemesis Architects, concluded the visit by sharing some fascinating insights into the architectural transformation of the building, illustrating how a historic school and former printing house were carefully adapted, in harmony with the client’s wishes, into this elegant cultural space.

The evening then continued at Vynique, an enoteca offering many wines from the Lazio Region’s, where members gathered for an informal aperitif-dinner with excellent wine and food.

A wonderful evening of art, architecture, and good company in the heart of Rome.
