On 29 October, DIBA hosted an evening at the residence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of The Netherlands hosted by Deputy Ambassador Aino Jansen. The evening was attended by many DIBA members, also from The Netherlands and other Italian Regions.
DIBA’s President, Angela Mannaerts, opened the evening by illustrating DIBA’s purposes to the participants, which also included DIBA guests, and introducing the two diplomats of the Dutch Embassy who addressed the public and explained which services the Embassy can perform for Dutch companies in Italy.
DIBA’s Honorary President, Rosita Steenbeek, concluded the presentations with an inspiring description of several diplomatic missions from The Netherlands to Italy, the first one dating back to the first century after Christ.
Deputy Ambassador Aino Jansen thanked Rosita Steenbeek and Angela Mannaerts for their important contributions and the DIBA team for making the networking evening a success. The Embassy’s Head of Economic Affairs, Wouter Schnitzler, underlined the important role of associations such as DIBA to create connections on which successful economic cooperation depends.
After having listened to the presentations, the participants enjoyed a wonderful dinner. DIBA is very grateful to the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherland for having offered its members and guests this unforgettable evening.
